KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia has introduced four new routes from Sarawak
to Penang, Langkawi, Terengganu and Kota Bharu, in a move to reinforce
its connectivity between the state and the Peninsular.
Two new routes are from Miri to Terengganu and Penang, and from Kuching
to Kota Bharu and Langkawi, the airline said in a statement today.
The new Kuching – Kota Bharu route is AirAsia's ninth domestic route from the city. AirAsia is also the sole airline to connect Kuching directly to the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
AirAsia will operate the Kuching – Kota Bharu route three times weekly from today and to Langkawi four times weekly.
AirAsia connects both Sabah and Sarawak to the Peninsular with 399
flights weekly and offers the best connectivity within the two states.
