KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Bhd is adding 43 extra flights from Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and Kuching to meet demand for the Aidilfitri festival from June 8 to 25.
In a statement today, it said flights from Kuala Lumpur to Alor Setar would be increased to 38 from 31 times weekly one way; to Langkawi (65 from 61 times); to Kuala Terengganu (39 from 35 times); to Kota Bharu (63 from 56 times); and to Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei (17 from 14 times).
"Whereas, flights from Johor Bahru to Tawau will increase to seven from four times weekly one way; to Kota Kinabalu (18 from 14 times); to Miri (six from three times); and to Sibu (11 from seven times)."
"In addition, flights from Kuching to Sibu will be increased to 25 from 21 times weekly one way," said AirAsia.
The low-cost carrier also offered all-in-fares promotion starting today until June 3, 2018 for the travel period between June 4 and October 30, 2018.
AirAsia guests are encouraged to be at the airport three hours prior to departure time and check in via web, mobile or kiosk services to avoid an expected congestion.
