KUALA LUMPUR: Malindo Air will commence direct flights between Kuala Lumpur and Lahore, Pakistan, beginning March 3, 2016, making it the sole airline to operate on the route.
In a statement Tuesday, the budget airline said it will commence operations with four weekly flights.
"The route will signify one of our furthest route yet from Kuala Lumpur using our young fleet of Boeing 737-900ER aircraft," said Chief Executive Officer Chandran Rama Muthy.
"Malaysians and transiting visitors from neighbouring Singapore can now look forward to a smooth flight to Lahore via Kuala Lumpur whether for business, leisure or religious purposes," he added.
The flight would depart Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 5.30pm and touch down at the Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore at 8.15pm.
The return flight would depart Lahore at 9.05pm and arrive at KLIA2 at 5.50am the next day.
