Scoot begins Singapore – Kota Bharu direct flights

Scoot begins three times weekly flights to Kota Bharu from Singapore

KOTA BHARU: Scoot, the low-cost arm of Singapore Airlines Ltd (SIA), began direct flights between Singapore and Kota Bharu last Tuesday (2 July 2019), making the Kelantan capital its seventh destination in Malaysia after Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Ipoh, Kuching and Kuantan.

It is also the second destination in East Coast region after thrice weekly Singapore - Kuantan service which was commenced since 2 February 2018. 

Scoot took to the skies in June 2012 and merged with Tigerair Singapore in July 2017, retaining the Scoot brand and positioning it well for a new chapter of growth. 

Being the sole operator of direct flights from Singapore to Kota Bharu, the new route will provide Scoot with a unique edge. Kota Bharu is not only the main gateway into Kelantan state, the cradle of Malay culture but also for Perhentian Islands, i.e. one of the most beautiful islands in the world.

Scoot will fly three times a week to Kota Bharu, on Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday.
