KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has appointed Datuk Sabrina Albakri Abu Bakar as company secretary, effective July 23, 2015.
Sabrina, a licensed company secretary, is presently group head, legal, secretarial and regulatory counsel in Pos Malaysia Bhd.
"I am pleased to welcome Sabrina to Malaysia Airlines. She brings over 22 years of experience in corporate roles within the legal and company secretarial functions.
"She will be fundamental in our ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders, as well as manage and coordinate our obligations as a responsible corporation," MAS chief executive officer, Christoph Mueller, said in a statement Friday.
Sabrina started her career as a legal practitioner before becoming an in-house legal advisor and company secretary in three public-listed companies.
Prior to Pos Malaysia, Sabrina was general manager, legal and secretarial at Sapura Technology Bhd.
